Bird or Rain Entry Problems

A chimney pot that is unprotected by a chimney terminal is susceptible to being “invaded” by leaves, birds and other small animals. The ingress of rain can cause damp problems in an unused chimney and be a nuisance in a working chimney.

For a working chimney – the fitting of a birdguard with or without a raincap that does not obstruct the air flow of a working chimney will help with these problems. SEE PRODUCTS

For an unused chimney – the fitting of a chimney capper that still allows ventilation is recommended. SEE PRODUCTS
